The Rest of the Day....

Chelsea's birthday continues!
I took her to lunch...
Her friend and her talked and talked...

So much that I ended up pacing outside waiting for them to finish!
I actually loved watching her giggle, smile, and laugh!

Then they went to the paint store....

Where my darling friend surprised her with balloons, cake, gifts, and
"Happy Birthday" song...including chaa chaa chaa! =)

Then we picked up her best friend...and cousin...and they played until they had to go to their choir concert!

Grandma sent the best hat...it was worn all day...and I am sure it will be worn all week!

We ended the night with cupcakes...

8 years old????

Happy Birthday Chelsea!

Today Chelsea turns 8!!!!
I almost can't believe it!

Brooke and I got up super early...way too early...4:30!
We wanted to decorate her room, before she woke up!
We trapped her into bed! =)

Served her breakfast in bed!

Gave some of our presents...
Annika's recycled dog.... =)

Luke made her a special book about Dolphins...her favorite animal!
(I will show the book later...it is dear!)

Had a mini cake for breakfast...I figured split 5 ways...wouldn't hurt at 7am!

It just so happens that we have too much going on today....it's going to be a squeeze to get birthday fun in.....but we plan to do it!

No more TOYS!

Brooke is growing up...
I hope to love and enjoy every stage of my kids life!
It was strange preparing her Easter basket without any toys!
I was a little nervous of what to do...because she will play with Chelsea, but it's just not her love anymore!

I bought her the "Care and Keeping of You" set from Amazon!
It contained the book I was looking for, (Care and Keeping of You),
Plus a journal for that book and a book on feelings, and a feelings journal!
I am thrilled with the set!
She loves the book.

I have seen quite a few of these type of books at the bookstore, but I am not always impressed with the lay out, or the pictures!
In my opinion, this book is excellent!
It covered all the topics that I have already talked to her about, it just goes into more detail...in a good way!
...Hair...Nutrition....Being clean....
It does touch on bras, and using tampons!
I felt like the pictures for this were appropriate, compared to others I've seen!

You would have to check it our yourself, but I just wanted to give my opinion...since these new stages are new to me, and I am always looking for advice on the up and coming!

Making T shirts!

I don't why we love to make t shirts...but it has always been a favorite around here!

This is my kids new favorite technique...so I thought I would share it with you!

You have to use Glitter glue...
You make your design with glue...let it dry...

Paint away!

Once the paint is dry...you soak the shirt in warm or hot water, for hours.
The glue just rubs right off!
It looks awesome tye dyed...the picture will come out white!
Painting over the glue, looks better, in my opinion, because then you can see the white lines.
For the two little ones, I enjoyed watching them paint within the lines..and if they go over..no big deal...it looks good no matter what!
We have a couple more shirts waiting to be painted right now!

Try it...you may get addicted!
