For those of you who have a job chart or system that works....Awesome!
If it is not broken...don't fix it!
But if you have not quite found your perfect system...give this a try!
At least for me at my house, this is a home run!
"MOMMY DOLLARS"
I don't know where I went wrong, but my kids are just not motivated by a dime.
Maybe it was the success they had with their first "lemonade stand"?
I remember getting 1 penny for jobs!
Not my kiddos!

"MOMMY DOLLARS"
I don't know where I went wrong, but my kids are just not motivated by a dime.
Maybe it was the success they had with their first "lemonade stand"?
I remember getting 1 penny for jobs!
Not my kiddos!
I found these printable mini dollars!
And called them "mommy dollars"
The kids earn them for everything:
getting dressed and backpack packed
going to bed
reading
homework
piano
jobs
obedience
They also loose them for the opposite behaviors.
I have a mommy store...that I slowly collect items I know my kids love or would enjoy!
Then I times the actual cost x's 5
That way each "mommy dollar" is worth $.20 to me...
but a dollar to them.
My older ones understand this...and still enjoy it the same.
My mornings have never ran so smooth...getting ready for school is a breeze!
Bed time...piece of cake!
Homework...never even have to ask!
They beg to read and practice piano!
I have always tried to make chores fun...but now they are even better!
My husband can't believe it and wishes we would have done this years ago!
For Brooke, it is difficult to find toys for her...she's not much of a "toy" girls...so I have coupons she can buy for different "parties".
For example:
Bowling for 4 -$150
Skating for 4- $150
Anything that the older ones would enjoy and motivate them to earn and save!
Luke is 4 and has been saving for over a month for this monkey!
He just got enough money today and he is so thrilled.
I have been amazed at his patience.
A month is a long time for a little one.
I have items for $5 and $10 that he would like.
But he picked this guy out one day and it was $50...and he saved!
Everyday he would go look at him, and then wait to have enough!
Try it!

You are AWESOME.:)
This is great!! I am DEFINITELY doing this! My kids have a hard time appreciating a $1. Plus when they do save they want to buy things like video games, which means on their butts for hours.
LOVE this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really love it!
That is so cute that Luke had that much patience. Meghan would NOT! :)
I hope your days (and mine) improve. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment today! FYI, that was not a prayer of confession. We're not there...yet.

I printed some money off today so I can started...so excited.:)
Thank you!
This is a REALLY stinkin' good idea. I'm not sure it would work with my 2 year old, but I think my older two would love it. Do they LOSE money if they're naughty, or do they get other punishments like time outs?
I only have to use the loss of money and they mind right away!
My two year old does not get it!
i am totally going to do this. thank you for your brilliant idea. you are awesome!
What a great idea!
I like the monkey too. Will Luke share? :)
Tell Luke that I have a big frog that sometimes goes on vacation with me.
Oh he will LOVE it! =)
