Day 10- Love is Unconditional

God Demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
-Romans 5;8

Today's Dare:
Do something out of the ordinary today for your spouse-something that proves (to you and to them) that your love is based on your choice and nothing else. Wash her car. Clean the kitchen. Buy his favorite dessert. Fold the laundry. Demonstrate Love to them for the sheer joy of being their partner in marriage.

My Thoughts:
This dare is designed to be done without the spouse knowing. Which I think would be the best way to do and so much fun. For me, Mark knows, he reads my blog. Yet it has been so fun for him, the kids and me.
Ironically, it seems that this dare came just at the right time! This week has been a tough one for me...I have been a little down...nothing serious...just normal getting older...and running is just not fitting nicely into my life...you know...can't seem to loose that extra 5 pounds (okay 20)! But every morning I get to come down and post today's dare and it lifts my spirits and puts the focus outside of "poor me!" And then today's dare of unconditional love....Rocks!
How exciting to get to show Mark unconditional love....he is my greatest example of this...everyday!

We are a quarter done Ladies..Hang in there!

For my husband today: I am letting him sleep in without complaining about it and keeping the kids from playing downstairs where they would disturb him.

We "can't" go to church this morning since we have 2 sick kiddos, so I'll let him enjoy his sleep.

Hey Sherri! When I read your this post, I kept thinking that I wrote it myself. Your relationship with Mark sounds very much like mine with my Brad. I know I keep saying that I'm gonna start doing the Love Dare, so since tomorrow is the 1st of February, I thought I'd start then. I'm really looking forward to it. These are my kind of dares.

Oh My goodness!
For all your mommy's of children...you know how Sunday morning is! Caotic! Today Mark bathed all the kids...and helped out the entire time! I can't believe it has taken me 10 days to realize..."someone is doing more than just reading my blog"...I am the spouse who doesn't know that their spouse is doing the Love Dare!
I have got to think super hard about what to do for him....it's got to be good!...any ideas?

I love all your comments....you guys are the BEST!

It's always those little things that I appreciate SO much, and I love how all these love challenges make us focus and remind us that all these little things, all these baby steps are so HUGE and so important. Love these challenges!

PS, good luck ladies! I can't wait until midnight to see who the winner is!

This Love Dare sounds a lot like the Husband Challenge. I have to admit, sadly enough, that I have yet to do the Husband Challenge. I probably should.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Your family is beautiful!

I followed after Shell's example and gave my husband a nap without interruptions. We both love Sunday naps together...but it is full of "mom" and "dad"...! He was thrilled! =)

O.K. You talked me into it. I guess I'll start on day 11 tomorrow. I was hoping there was a way I could catch up to y'all, but I was so far behind. Thanks for letting me jump right in with y'all.

I suppose I am coming to this post late in the game, so I will have to think of something for tomorrow. Or maybe I'll just give my hubby a back rub tonight.

P.S. Has anyone ever said your husband looks like Woddy Harelson?

Just to let you ladies know, I put the dishes away without being asked. I just put everything away, and I thought it looked nice. Nancy says I put everything in the wrong place and to stay out of the kitchen. At least I did my part. :)
