Favorite Trick or Treat Door!

See this cool scarecrow that this house made. They just function on the honor system. There is a sign that says "Please take one!"
Well
For those who choose to take two!
The Scarecrow grabs you!
We all loved this
Even if you knew he was real he looked fake!
What a great job!!!

Jorgensen Pirates are at it again!

Halloween 2009 is over
We had a lot of fun being pirates this year!
For Halloween night we did our traditional Halloween dinner for Dad
We invited another family to join us for some fun, but crazy eats!

Meet the Van Gorps

Chelsea made the pumpkin cheese ball!

Brooke made the bird meatball sandwiches
(Although I made the meatballs)

Luke and Annika helped their sisters make the witch hats.
Which concluded our menu for this year....

Until the Van Gorps brought their goodies!
starting with mummy dogs

Spiders

Apple bites!

Eyeballs on forks

Pumpkin Pizza

Watermelon brain
None of us went hungry!

Here's our crew and their "pirate" attitudes

The Frozed Pumpkin Patch!

Poor Brooke...She really needs a mom who will allow her to have an animal!
I think that is the BIGGEST smile I have ever seen!

BIKE BARN

We spent most our time inside...it was absolutely FREEZING!

small traffic jam, (it helps to know how to ride a bike)
He did learn!

Orange Bubble!
We had it all to ourselves!
We had the entire pumpkin patch to ourselves!

CORN BOX!
Most states have sand boxes, but Iowa has "corn" boxes!
They don't make the best castles.

Hiding from the wind!

I promised Chelsea that when I got my new camera I would take and post a colored picture of my running scene she painted me (or colored with crayon)
To: My little artist!
Thanks for the beautiful picture, I love it!

Preschool- Letter of the Week- P and K

I have the complete reading program from Diane Hopkins.
I have used it to help assist my girls in their reading and now I use it to review and teach Luke his letter and reading.
This is just matching the lower case and upper case letters!
Luke loves to play it and we only use the letters he has learned, so it is merely a review and he loves that he knows the letters.
It gives him a lot of confindence!

Of course we had to learn "P" for "Pirate", since this year for Halloween we are all pirates!
And then "K" for "Kangaroo". We added the baby "k" for the front pouch and that is Luke's favorite letter to show off, because he can take the baby out!

Trunk or Treat?

NEW CAMERA
HOORAY!!!
I Really needed one, it is not what I was hoping it would be... I probably need to step up to the BIG bucks!
But at least I am back in business.

Trunk or Treat!
Halloween fun is in full Bloom!
I love dressing up...although I have not had a chance to yet.
I wish I would have yesterday, but by the time I got all the kids ready I was going to be late.

My two witches...
Annika would NOT wear her hat....
period.
All my babies have been pumpkins....so why change now?

Devil- she is definitely in disguise- she is an angel!

The Young Women and Young Men put together games and crafts...
Fishing!

Doughnut eating contest...I am going to have to do this one at home. Brooke let Luke finish hers and then did not get to do it again...so be on the look out for more doughnut fun!

Luke was a race car driver.

Family Home Evening- Booing!

Making treats for friends and Neighbors and then serectly delivering them has to be a favorite of my kids. They just love it! In fact, they would do it everyday...but I try and reserve it for special occasions, like "BOOING!"
(I got this cute sign from executivehomemaker.com)

We were finding our hiding spot and look who else was hiding.. 3 HUGE deers...
We have lots of deer in our yard, but they are not this size...This is a whole new species.
I think these BIG boys must not let the smaller ones come in their territory.

1 HUGE BUCK!
This guy could have been mistaken for an Elk!
HUGE!!!!!
Okay...back to Family Night
Running to their hiding spot, (now that the deer are gone.)

Chelsea says (with her expressions) I'm cold!

Look at me, I don't have a coat.

Annika get involved
I don't know why

I guess she did not think I was listening to there motions...

Brooke runs back to join the rest after delivering the cookies and ringing the door bell.
Successful!

To all you moms running late at night...KEEP IT UP!
It's 11:00 and I just got off the treadmill
But at least I am starting the week off right!
Speaking of...
I am calorie counting
Sound Fun...
Well not really , I am excited to feel good in my skin and clothes!
I am eating every2-21/2 hours
yogurat 170 calorie
2 mini V8's 60 calories
protein shake w/ frozen banan 250 calories
chocolate chip cookie 350 calories (not really on the diet)
chicken breast and zuchini bread 350 calories
total 1320

I had little ones keeping me busy at this late hour running....Mark is out of town and they would NOT go to sleep. Well, Annika was in bed, but joined us around mile 2.

I got to stare at this cute horse that Chlesea made and put on my treadmill. I left it...I figured it would be better than watching my time go by...second by second! Plus it truly is cute and amazing. (My camera is broken and so the picture was dark, so I will take a better picture with my NEW camera that I am buying myself)

As long as the ceiling fan is on Brady is happy!

During my stretching Annika was swinging and running on the treadmill. I sure hope her little "cat nap" doesn't keep her up all night!

GOOD NIGHT!
ROAD TRIP
Heading to a Jorgensen Family Reunion
Only 2 hours away
We are ready for some Fun....
Aunt Kaye's is the Best!

I am starting early...if they read Runners World...maybe they will run!?

Jeremy is amazing with All the kids...I think he should have 5 or more!

And the wife, Jenny, she looks great holding two little ones...
This is Brady's 3 month kiss...from a beautiful girl!
(I just wish my camera was working better)

Sissy...

All these Jorgensen boys hung on the railing and talked just like they were on the farm around the fence!

Thanks Greg for coming all the way from Cally and encouraging all of us to get together
Thanks Kaye for hosting such a great get together
Love you All!
