ROAD TRIP- Heading to Utah !

We drove to Utah for Thanksgiving and for Debbie's wedding!
Round trip it is almost 40 hours of car fun!
My kids amaze me...they love to drive and they are wonderful!
Infact, they don't sleep until about 10pm..
Yup, awake and ready for me to entertain the whole time!
(except Annika...she takes a couple naps)
It seems to me that when I was young I liked to sleep, and then the trip went by faster.
Not my kids...they don't want to miss one minute.
Needless to say, Mark prefers to drive the whole time and let me tend to the needs of 5 car cramped up kiddos!

We love family road trips!
So I have gone on enough to know the more prepared you are the better.
I came PREPARED!

Here a a few of the things we did ....
Tin foil molding
Each kid got a sqare of tin foil to make anything they could create.

WHAT A BLAST!!

Brooke shows off Annika's tin foil balls of all sizes.

Luke made a man with a hat, and he shows how the hat comes off and on!

Brooke made a bowl!

Then, I was the judge and graded each item and gave out appropriate awards...
everyone wins!

Pipe Cleaner designing!

Luke- Bert and Ernie- (he had some help)

Brooke made a baby mobile for the car seat

Chelsea waves her American flag!

And then we had a bubble blowing contest!
The whole car was laughing!

Even dad the driver was involved!

Chelsea's got bigger and bigger...this is probably her 20th bubble!

Bubble Gum Blowing Brooke!

We stopped in Wyoming and watched them herd sheep with horses and dogs.
This is for sure the most exciting thing going on in Wyoming!

That is so fun, great ideas! No wonder the kids all stay awake. Heck, I would probably even stay awake for that...and thats saying something.

Your road trip brings back memories. Our family has driven coast to coast a couple of times for Navy moves. You do a great job of keeping your young'uns busy.

I drove through Wyoming...even got pulled over in that state. Apparently they frown on 100 in a 75 ;)
