Annual Halloween Party

Every year my mom threw a Halloween party. She saved the theme for a surprise. It was so fun! I often looked forward to her party more than any holiday. A time to dress up and be anything we wanted to and to spend silly time as a family. Now that I live so far away I can not take my kids to the famous "mom's party". So I have decided to carry on the tradition from Iowa. This year I picked the easiest theme, since I have been slightly crunched for time. We did a pumpkin patch. Heather Conover and her foreign exchange student from Chili and the 2 dogs came down from Illinois and we through a party for the kids. The three of us are farmers, "Pumpkin Farmers" of course.
Chelsea and Annika were ladybugs. And the cutest lady bugs ever!

Here is our pumpkin hunt. We hid pumpkin bags full of little treats at the neighbors. And the kids all hunted for them.

Luke playing Pin the nose on the Pumpkin. I know this is one of the oldest games, but we had a blast. Even the three farmers played. We also played a pumpkin bean bag toss, and a pumpkin rig toss. We frosted Pumpkin sugar cookies. And then ate and hit the street for an hour of trick or treat!
